Clomid

Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is an oral ovulation stimulant used to treat infertility by inducing ovulation in women with ovulatory dysfunction.

• Oral tablet, 50 mg.

• Stimulates follicle development and ovulation.

• Used primarily for female infertility related to ovulation issues.

Common Side Effects:


Hot flashes, abdominal discomfort, nausea, mood swings, visual disturbances, ovarian enlargement.

Warnings:

• Not for use during pregnancy.

• Risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).

• Should not be used in patients with ovarian cysts (except PCOS), abnormal uterine bleeding, or liver disease.

• Maximum of 6 treatment cycles recommended.

Dosage:


Typically 50 mg daily for 5 days starting on day 2-5 of menstrual cycle; dose may be increased if ovulation does not occur.
